Amaxwire will review your press releases for distribution to ensure the content is newsworthy, accurate and in an acceptable press release format. Attention to the following guidelines will help get your press release quickly approved and distributed on our platform.

All press releases must have a clear, current and newsworthy angle and be free of any advertising hype and spam. Press releases must have the following characteristics/qualities:

A Clear Source: Amaxwire requires that the headline include a clear news source. The news source is the company or organization that publishes the headline. If your agency, firm or company distributes on behalf of a client, the source is the name of the client's company or organization. It should also be clear how that company or organization relates to the news release. You can easily specify this in our system.

Accepted File Types: Amaxwire will only accept messages with images with the following extensions: .jpeg, .webp or .png. Your images should preferably be in landscape orientation to fit into the automatically generated thumbnails, PDFs, etc.

Images & Videos: You must have the copyrights to the images and the appropriate permissions to use the photos and videos you upload, including for publication on the Amaxwire network and affiliates. To increase the likelihood of your photos being used by third parties, it's recommended to avoid including any or very little text within the image.

Formatting: Amaxwire press releases can only contain those HTML tags that our online editor supports, any other formatting such as non-standard characters, tables or forced line breaks will be removed. Press releases may also not be written partially or entirely in capital letters. Before submitting your post, please make sure that all links in your post work and do not give a 404 message or contain a redirect.

Legally Accurate: Amaxwire requires a case number, court, complaint number or other sufficient documentation for all press releases referencing court cases or criminal matters.

Links: You may include website links in your press release. Preferably, do not include more than 3 to 4 links in your press release.
We do not accept URL shorteners (such as bit.ly) for the safety of our users. If you use one, it will be converted to the final URL when published or your release will not be approved.

Maximum and minimum Length: Amaxwire press releases should be between 300 and 800 words. The length of your release directly affects its distribution, and press releases that are too short or too long may have trouble being indexed in the search engines.

Newsworthy Content: Common news items include information about a new product or service, a business expansion or recent event, an organizational milestone such as a birthday or award. Or the publication of an expert's opinion on a topic currently in the news. The news announcement should be clearly stated in the headline.

Objective Tone: Amaxwire press releases should be free of hype flags and direct addressing (i.e. "you," "I," "we," etc.) unless used within a quote from a spokesperson for a company or organization. Also, hype flags - exclamation points; hyperbolic product/service assertions; descriptions of a product or service as FANTASTIC, SUPER, AWESOME etc, or the use of capital letters for emphasis - erode the credibility of your news release.

Standard Grammar and Spelling: Amaxwire press releases should be free of spelling and grammatical errors. While jargon and acronyms are common in natural language, make sure you include definitions for industry jargon so that the average person can understand it as well.

Valid Contact Information: Amaxwire press releases must include a valid contact name, phone number and email address in the contact information.

Written Authorization: In certain instances, such as with network marketing companies, when using a stock ticker symbol, or with significant company announcements such as (but not limited to) those related to mergers and acquisitions, Amaxwire may require written approval from a company executive before approving a press release for distribution.

Legal publication guidelines

Press releases on court cases and political matters may:

  • contain honest commentary by a political or public figure, as long as such content does not cross over into libelous speech
  • reflect the opinion or official position of an organization on a public issue or current event, but the opinions must be in the form of a quotation and properly attributed to the organization making the statement

Press releases on court cases and political matters are not:

  • Announcements of intent to file a lawsuit against an individual or group
  • Potentially defamatory content, which is defined as content that misrepresents a person or implies that a person: (a) has committed a crime or is guilty of illegal activity; (b) is mentally incapacitated; (c) has engaged in immoral behavior; (d) has a repugnant disease.
  • Interpretation of court proceedings: (a) all allegations of events surrounding a court case must be attributed to court documents; (b) as long as a case has not been decided, events cannot be interpreted, but only what is alleged in court documents can be detailed

Excluded content

Amaxwire does not distribute:

Advertisements: If your press release is primarily aimed at selling a product or service, then it is an advertisement and not a press release. A good press release informs the media and general public about a newsworthy topic. If the document is primarily focused on sales without any other newsworthy element, then it will not be published.

BlackHat SEO Tactics: Amaxwire does not allow releases to promote or link to Black Hat SEO tactics and services. These types of services include, but are not limited to, keyword stuffing, link buying, and selling, link stuffing, over-hyphenated domains, paid social media followers, and reputation management.

Duplicate Content: A press release can only be distributed once through Amaxwire. In addition, a significant portion of each press release must be original content. Standardized content is not permitted. The use of copyrighted content from other sources is a violation of Amaxwire 's Terms of Service.

Easy Money Schemes: Amaxwire does not accept messages that promote make money online, work from home programs or get-rich-quick schemes.

Gun Topics: Press releases promoting the sale of handguns, rifles, shotguns, functioning antique rifles, airsoft guns, paintball guns, box guns, 3D-printed rifles, and any parts or components, finished or unfinished, that are essential to the functionality of a rifle or that enhance such functionality.

Intent to Harm: Amaxwire does not distribute content intended to harm or retaliate against any individual or group. This content is defined as anything that is intended to: incite, advocate, or express hatred, bigotry, racism, or gratuitous violence; promote personal opinions that attack an individual or group; maliciously affect the stock value of a company; or stalk, defame, deceive, humiliate, shame, or victimize an individual or group.

Link SPAM: We will automatically place links in your post. But please limit the number of links to 1 per 100-150 words. This policy is in place to protect the value of links in a press release and the value of links within the Amaxwire network.

Online Pharmaceuticals: Amaxwire does not accept releases from online pharmacies or websites that sell prescription drugs unless both the website and the release explicitly state that a doctor's prescription is required for purchase. In addition, pharmaceutical sites that are acceptable must be located in the country the article is targeting.

Stock or investment Recommendations: Amaxwire does not accept messages that promote stock selections, newsletters, alerts, recommendations, opinions or ratings. Listed companies may still promote their own news.

Third Party Legal Releases: Amaxwire only accepts press releases from law firms where the firm represents one of the parties to the case. Amaxwire does not accept press releases about lawsuits from third-party law firms.

Weight Loss Products: Amaxwire does not allow any weight loss products or it’s ingredients.

Written Authorization: In certain instances, such as with network marketing companies, when using a stock ticker symbol, or with significant company announcements such as (but not limited to) those related to mergers and acquisitions, Amaxwire may require written approval from a company executive before approving a press release for distribution
